GEN 0.1 Preface

NAME OF THE PUBLISHING AUTHORITY

 

The Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) for the Warszawa FIR (AIP Poland) is published and distributed by the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency.

2.

APPLICABLE ICAO DOCUMENTS

2.1

AIP Poland is compliant with the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) contained in Annex 15 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation - Aeronautical Information Services, and supplementary documents: Aeronautical Information Services Manual (ICAO Doc 8126) and Doc 10066 Procedures for Air Navigation Services - Aeronautical Information Management (PANS-AIM).

2.2

Charts contained in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) of Poland, compliant to the standards described in Annex 4 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation - Aeronautical Charts and recommendations specified in the Aeronautical Charts Manual (ICAO Doc 8697) contain the “ICAO” abbreviation in their names, e.g. Aerodrome Chart - ICAO.

Differences from ICAO Standards, Recommended Practices and Procedures are shown in chapter GEN 1.7.

PUBLICATION MEDIA

 

AIP Poland is published only in electronic version, available on DVDs. The information is available from at the website https://www.ais.pansa.pl, tab Sale & Order/en.

4.

STRUCTURE OF AIP POLAND AND ESTABLISHED INTERVALS FOR PUBLICATION OF AMENDMENTS

4.1

Layout of AIP Poland

4.1.1

The thematic layout of information published in AIP Poland is compliant with ICAO Doc 8126 and Doc 10066. Detailed information on contents of particular chapters is given in tables of contents.

4.1.2

The Aeronautical Information Publication is published in three volumes:

 

Volume I - named ‘AIP Poland - AIP IFR’ - conforming to ICAO Annex 15, taking into consideration that information on aerodromes at which it is possible to conduct IFR flights is published in chapter AD 2 of Volume I, whereas information on aerodrome charges referred to in Article 75 of the Aviation Law Act of 3 July 2002 (Journal of Laws of 2019, items 1580 and 1495, and of 2020 items 284 and 1378, with later amendments), in chapter GEN 4 of Volume I;

 

 

 

Volume II - named ‘AIP Poland - AIP VFR’ includes aeronautical information for users interested in performing VFR flights within the Polish airspace. Separate VFR Amendments (VFR AMDT) and VFR Supplements (VFR SUP) are issued to AIP VFR.

 

 

 

Volume III - named ‘AIP Poland - MIL AIP’ includes aeronautical information for users interested in performing OAT flights within the Polish airspace or to military aerodromes. Separate MIL Amendments (MIL AMDT) and MIL Supplements (MIL SUP) are issued to MIL AIP.

 

MIL AIP is published by the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) in cooperation with the Military Air Traffic Service Office of the Polish Armed Forces.

4.1.3

Editing cycle of Amendments to AIP Poland

 

AIRAC Amendments are published when needed in accordance with dates of the AIRAC cycle. These Amendments are distributed to reach subscribers at least 28 (in special cases 56) days in advance of their effective date.

COPYRIGHT POLICY

 

Any materials and publications of Aeronautical Information Service (AIS publications) provided by the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency are protected by copyright, in accordance with the Act of 4 February 1994 on copyright and related rights.

The AIS products (including AIP Poland as an aeronautical information product within the meaning of ICAO Annex 15) provided by the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency are subject to copyright in accordance with the Act of 4 February 1994 on copyright and related rights, and protection under the Act of 27 July 2001 on the protection of databses.

 

It particularily concerns the aeronautical information products (see GEN 3.1). If not specified otherwise, they may be used as downloads, displays or print-outs (in an unchanged form) for information purposes only.

The AIS products can only be used by downloading, displaying or printing them (unchanged) for operational purposes by entities defined in item 2.2 of ICAO Annex 15. The use of AIS products in another form or for other purposes, in particular for commercial purposes, is subject to PANSA's permission.

Information purposes include operational use. No part of AIS publications shall be reproduced, stored in an information acquisition system, forwarded, redistributed, republished or used for commercial purposes without the prior written permission of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency.
